Update — 11 September 2026: Singapore Tourism Board has confirmed the 2026 Grand Prix Season Singapore programme runs from 2–11 October. The Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix race weekend itself is 9–11 October, with the race scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Sunday 11 October.

Singapore’s Formula 1 week is becoming a citywide event rather than something that starts at the circuit gates. Grand Prix Season Singapore (GPSS) returns from 2 to 11 October 2026, bringing ten days of race-themed experiences across Orchard Road, Clarke Quay, Marina Bay, Bugis, Suntec and other precincts.

For travellers, the useful distinction is simple: you do not need a Formula 1 grandstand ticket to feel the race-week atmosphere. The official GPSS programme includes free-to-enter shopping-centre pop-ups, outdoor entertainment, esports, motoring displays and nightlife events, while some individual partner events require their own tickets or bookings.

Grand Prix Season Singapore 2026 dates

GPSS runs from Friday 2 October through Sunday 11 October 2026. The Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix is held from Friday 9 October to Sunday 11 October at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

Formula 1’s current timetable lists practice and Sprint Qualifying on Friday, the Sprint and qualifying on Saturday, and the Grand Prix at 8:00 p.m. local time on Sunday. Timings can still change, so anyone building a day around a specific session should recheck the official timetable close to the event.

Orchard Road gets a new late-night paddock

Orchard Paddock 2026 debuts at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza from 8–10 October. Singapore Tourism Board says the programme will combine late-night dining, open-air movie screenings and live performances.

The published 8 October music programme includes Singapore acts ALYPH, YAØ, 53A, Reverie and Dreamsound. If your hotel is around Orchard, this is one of the easiest ways to add race-week atmosphere without making a separate Marina Bay circuit visit.

Funan and Raffles City get motorsport pop-ups

adidas is running two Motorsport Popups: an Audi Revolut F1 Team activation at Funan and a Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team activation at Raffles City Shopping Centre. STB says the pop-ups will include show cars, racing simulators and exclusive collections.

Both locations are central and straightforward to combine with sightseeing. Funan sits beside the Civic District, while Raffles City is connected to City Hall MRT and is within walking distance of Marina Bay and the Padang.

Clarke Quay brings back Beyond the Track

CQ @ Clarke Quay returns with Ray-Ban presents: Beyond the Track. The programme includes Scuderia Ferrari-themed activities such as race simulators, a pit-stop challenge and reflex testing, plus merchandise opportunities and live music tied to Music Matters Live.

STB also flags a special appearance by a Scuderia Ferrari HP Formula 1 driver. Treat the exact appearance timing as something to verify from the live programme rather than planning around a social-media rumour.

Singapore hosts a Gran Turismo World Series stop

For esports fans, Gran Turismo World Series Round 3 arrives at the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands on 3 October. STB describes it as the first GTWS championship stop in Southeast Asia, with competitors contesting Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup points.

This is one of the clearest examples of the race-season programme stretching beyond Formula 1 itself. If you are already staying around Marina Bay, the event can be paired geographically with Gardens by the Bay, the ArtScience Museum or the waterfront rather than treated as a cross-city detour.

Porsche’s Raceborn Fest runs 9–11 October

Raceborn Fest debuts at Guoco Midtown from 9–11 October. The published programme includes classic racing cars, motorsport activities and professional racing simulators, as well as the Southeast Asian unveiling of the new 911 Challenge race car.

Guoco Midtown is beside Bugis and close to the race circuit’s northern edge, so it is a logical stop for visitors already spending time around City Hall, Kampong Glam or the circuit precinct.

How I would plan the week

If Formula 1 is the main reason for the trip, I would separate the week into two phases. Use 2–8 October for the citywide GPSS programme, shopping and sightseeing, then protect 9–11 October for the increasingly busy race precinct and any ticketed sessions.

If you are not attending the race, the earlier GPSS days can actually be the easier window. You can sample the themed activations without building the whole itinerary around circuit access, road closures and race-session times.

My planning rule: choose one or two GPSS events that fit where you are already going. Singapore is compact, but race week is not the moment to turn every activation into a cross-island collection challenge.

Expect transport changes around Marina Bay

The Marina Bay Street Circuit uses public roads, so road closures and public-transport changes are a normal part of race week. Exact 2026 traffic arrangements should be checked against the latest official Land Transport Authority, police and Singapore GP information once the detailed closure plan is published.

MRT is generally the easiest backbone for moving around the city during major events. Leave extra time near Marina Bay, City Hall and Promenade, especially before and after track sessions, and avoid assuming a taxi or private-hire car can use its normal route through the circuit area.

What still needs a live check

Programme details, partner operating hours, ticket requirements and celebrity or driver appearances can change. STB’s announcement is a strong planning snapshot, but individual event pages should win for last-minute timing, admission and capacity information.

The same goes for Formula 1. The current official timetable lists Singapore as a Sprint weekend from 9–11 October, but travellers should recheck session times before locking restaurant reservations, flights or attraction bookings around the race.
